What is a dealer?
Dealers are our contact between the customer and the company. They work with customers making sure orders are filled in a timely fashion, and they work with the distributors when placing orders to make sure the customers shipping costs are minimized. U.S. Soil, Inc will work closely with the dealers as they know the areas they service. Since every area is different, we count on our dealers to be the first to let us know our customer needs. Simply put, a Dealer is a community evangelist that believes in the Planters II agricultural program and can be proud to sell a product that just works.
Personal Requirements
- Motivation - This is your business. If you are motivated, you make more money. There isn't a limit on what you can make, but it has to be up to you.
- Community Focused - You must be willing to talk to people. While many Dealers don't consider themselves salesmen, they must be willing to go out in their community and follow up on leads.
- Willingness to Learn - We are always sharing agricultural information with our Dealers through emails, direct contact and sales meetings. A Dealer is willing to learn new ideas and concepts while still keeping the "know-how" of practical applications. Being practical is critical for any Dealer.
- Meeting Focused - While most Dealers host informal chats on the range of 2-4 other people at a time (usually over coffee or lunch), there are also times where you must be able & willing to organize a sales meeting. These meetings are hosted by you, but we will provide the professional speaker / sales representative to help you sell product.
Order Requirements
Direct Farmer-Dealers order by the truckload (roughly 200 acres worth of product). It is then their job to split that truckload up among their customers if their customers only plan to take a partial truckload. Now with that said, some Dealers only resell by the truckload, but most Dealers resell both by the truckload and will split up a truckload keeping a few tons in storage for those 'last minute' orders.
We do not have sales minimums or buy-ins. As long as you are actively ordering product, reselling in your community and maintaining an honest business, you should maintain Dealer pricing.
Farmer-Dealers
95% of our Dealers are farmer-dealers. This means they are farmers who not only use the product themselves, but they also sell the product in their immediate community. We will work with farmer-dealers in a range of applications, and we do not require business exclusivity to just Planters II. As such, many seed farmer-dealers find it beneficial to also sell Planters II Fertilizer.
Store Fronts / Coops
Are you a store front / coop looking for a product to add to your inventory? While we do have some dealers who fall into this category, it is important that you are willing to work with your clients and not just 'have them come to you.' As such, these spots are reserved for some of the most motivated individuals. Remember, Planters II Fertilizer is a product you can trust, backed by years of use and experience.
